The Youth Participation Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Children’s Research Network of Ireland and Northern Ireland is proposing to write a book on youth participation in the Irish context. The purpose of the book is to share case studies and practical examples / accounts of participatory research and involvement with children and young people (0-24 years), as well as studies of children’s and young people’s social / political participation. A theoretical piece around child participation will also be addressed, as it remains a very under-developed aspect within the current literature.
